why whānau should come to the matariki festival

why whānau should come to the matariki festival

I strongly believe whānau should come to the matariki festival because your parents don’t know what room two has learnt .

Firstly, your whānau should come to learn how to play Ki-o-Rahi. This is a game full of fun. Room two will teach you what the rules are and how to play.

Secondly, my parents should come to see me perform in front of the whole school doing my kapa haka performance because I worked so hard practising .

Finally, there will be yummy food trucks with different foods that everyone can try.

So that is why whānau should come and see our Matariki festival and what we have learnt.

Lost and found with matariki

                24.08.23 By Lashay.

One day two twins Bella and Anthony decided to go camping with each other. As they gathered their things the twins parents said “if you ever get lost look up at the sky and find the Matariki stars they will guide you to each other and Matariki will lead you home”. Once they arrived at the campsite they had forgotten their tent, but then they found one near a tree. After they finished setting up the twins decided to play hide and seek. Then one of the twins got lost and she remembered what her mum said “look up in the sky and one of the stars will guide you to your brother”, so she looked up in the sky and followed the bright star. When she looked forward she found her brother and told him the whole story and said we should go home it is scary out here. They looked at the biggest star matariki to guide them home. Once they got home they told their mum the whole story.
